I experimented with Powtoon this morning. I chose to use one of their templates, and just edited it to suit my needs. I think Powtoon would be great for creating library announcement videos, like the one I made for my book club. Animoto seems to be a great choice for featuring multiple pictures of library events, or students at work, or student art work. It could also showcase a project, from start to completion.

Great job. I agree that this is a great tool for announcements. I did not check this one out, but will as I was about to work on my webpage after looking at some of the blogs again. I like that features moved in and out as an animated slide show.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea to use Powtoon to announce upcoming school events! The video could be linked on the school homepage or played on the morning show. I believe students would find this much more engaging than how school events are typically promoted.
ReplyDeleteI love Powtoon also. I am so used to creating instructional videos that I forgot how cool it is to create videos about events in the library. The video runs very smoothly! The kids always ask me if the hands are mine or not.
